JERUSALEM, Oct. 16 — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that it had killed Jalal Mustafa Hariri, a Hezbollah sector commander in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, Hariri, Hezbollah commander of the Qana area in southern Lebanon, was targeted by an Israeli Air Force fighter jet.
It noted that Hariri was responsible for planning and executing “terrorist activities” against Israeli civilian targets from the Qana village area.
The IDF added that Hezbollah’s head of artillery and the head of anti-tank missiles in the region were also killed alongside Hariri.
Earlier Wednesday, the IDF said that, with intelligence support, its fighter jets attacked strategic weapons stored in an underground Hezbollah warehouse in Beirut’s Dahieh suburb.
