2 killed, 10 injured in paramilitary forces’ artillery attack on Sudanese city

KHARTOUM – Two people were killed and 10 others injured on Wednesday in an artillery shelling attack by paramilitary forces on Omdurman city, north of the capital Khartoum, Khartoum State’s Health Ministry said in a statement.

The “systematic bombing against citizens” by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Karari locality of northern Omdurman targeted densely populated areas, the ministry stated.

Those injured in the attack were transferred to Al-Nao and Sawaed hospitals. The RSF has not yet commented on the attack.

Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in a violent conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF, resulting in at least 16,650 deaths and the displacement of millions of people.
